Dearest listeners,
If you didn’t catch it on-air last night, here’s the news: I’ll be out of the studio this fall on extended business in Berlin. But with Momo Araki joining the team full-time in New York, you really couldn’t be in better hands. He’ll be hosting the show from WNYU every week, and I’ll be your correspondent abroad, delivering guest mixes and interviews from the capital of techno.
Honestly, when the opportunity presented itself to decamp to Berlin, my first thought was, “OH FUCK, but what about Table Tennis?” I don’t want to go so far as to say Table Tennis is my life, but it’s my pride and joy – at the very least, my favorite thing I do every week. It’ll be crazy-weird not to spend a Thursday night in the studio until December, but I’m excited for this new phase. Momo’s a hoss and truly one of my best musical friends, and his unique perspective on tanzmusik is a huge asset to this program. You won’t want me to come back.
My last night in the studio before blastoff is August 30. Honestly, I don’t have anything earth-shattering planned just yet, because, like, what do we really have to bid farewell to? The show only stands to get better. Regardless, I might have something special for you guys that night… keep an eye on the site for word on that, obviously.
