  9. Tonight is big! Jordan, that rapscallion, has officially decamped to Berlin, which means that Momo now sits at the controls. Tune in to find out what sounds await over the next few months!
Also, a word on the archives: due to the obvious structural changes in the show (the opening of an international office, the doubling of our staff size, etc.), we’re running a little behind. We hope to have the last few weeks of shows to you shortly.

  10. Tonight is Jordan’s last show in the studio for quite awhile (read about all of that here), and while he’d looked into getting some sort of super-special guest to mark the occasion, what’s going down is probably more appropriate: Jordan will be joined by Momo (who he’ll ceremonially turn the show over to at the night’s end) and a handful of folks who have been integral to the radio show over the last few years. (You may even hear from Table Tennis’s reclusive executive producer, The Guy.) Expect a SMOOTH VIBE, and keep that Kleenex box (or barf bucket, your choice) handy… things will get damn sappy by midnight at the very latest.

  14. Re: EXCITING/ INTRIGUING/ CURIOUS PROGRAMMING NOTE

    Dearest listeners,

If you didn’t catch it on-air last night, here’s the news: I’ll be out of the studio this fall on extended business in Berlin. But with Momo Araki joining the team full-time in New York, you really couldn’t be in better hands. He’ll be hosting the show from WNYU every week, and I’ll be your correspondent abroad, delivering guest mixes and interviews from the capital of techno.

Honestly, when the opportunity presented itself to decamp to Berlin, my first thought was, “OH FUCK, but what about Table Tennis?” I don’t want to go so far as to say Table Tennis is my life, but it’s my pride and joy – at the very least, my favorite thing I do every week. It’ll be crazy-weird not to spend a Thursday night in the studio until December, but I’m excited for this new phase. Momo’s a hoss and truly one of my best musical friends, and his unique perspective on tanzmusik is a huge asset to this program. You won’t want me to come back.

My last night in the studio before blastoff is August 30. Honestly, I don’t have anything earth-shattering planned just yet, because, like, what do we really have to bid farewell to? The show only stands to get better. Regardless, I might have something special for you guys that night… keep an eye on the site for word on that, obviously.

    Jordan

Lend us your ears on Thursday night, dear Table Tennis fan, and discover what aural wonders lie ahead for you in the not-too-distant radio future!
